The Nakita Story https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=2725205616417460756#editor/target=post;postID=212158482152140819;onPublishedMenu=allposts;onClosedMenu=allposts;postNum=1;src=link

Every one has a tail to tell. The following story is mine. Each and every individual has his or her own strength. My strength is writing. I have been doing it all my life.
When I say all my life I mean since the fourth grade. It is in that grade I had arguably my favorite teacher of all time. Her name was Mrs. Zulick.
She had cat posters lined all across the walls of her classroom. She entered me in the Young Arthur’s contest then.
The contest was for students in the fifth grade and higher. He pulled some strings to get my entry in that contest. I am glad that she did, because I won it.
I definitely recall how obtained my current four legged roommate. I was Journalism Major at Eastern University. The colleges’ founding church named Central Baptist Church.

There was a loft style apartment next door to that college where Bible Studies were held. The residents of that apartment that had a four-legged roommate. She was a cat named Nikita.

C.H.I.P's

If you read form one of my other blogs, (I have three.) My sister and I “argued” what shows to watch as a child. She insisted on Little House on the Prairie and I preferred The Dukes of Hazzard.
They were on at the same time when we got home from school. The winner got to view his or her choice on our color television that was “huge” for it’s time (and our budget) and the other was forced to view their choice on a black and white television in our mother's bedroom.
We both hated going into or mother's’ room for multiple reasons. (That is not important to this story.) Paunch and John were the two coolest men on two wheels.

They were a pair of highway patrol men whom gave a whole new appeal to cop shows and motorcycles. Long before “Buddy Comedies” like the Lethal Weapon series. These two highway patrol men were the coolest officers on the block.

Blair Bodine III The Concert Trilogy

This time there was four of them. They sat side by side boy girl, boy, girl a pretty young lady aside each older distinguished gentleman. They each performed their own distinguished songs. One (male) gave you a choice, one explained how confusing it is to have a last name for a first name and A first name for a last. One girl was a beautiful blond (Blair) the other an adorably cute brunette.

The brunette (Suzie) was in her young twenties she sounded far younger though. They were all introduced by one of the three performers at Blair's 2nd (more fun ) concert. Blair was introduced by Lizannne. Lizanne give each performer a shout and her (singing) voice was similar two the young girl at about half her age. Each singer had a voice that was majestic and wonderful. Skip spoke of the Phillies and Harry (both Potter and Kalas). The group sung of writing in airports and writing their song often. They performed songs written for weddings and spoke of growing up and playing in an otherwise all female band. (specifically his wife and her sisters) Two sung older songs two sung new ones. They often changed minds as they turn came to them and one changed they key as well.

The entire night started early at 7 pm instead of 7:30 or 8pm. The show was over by 9pm. I hugged Blair again for the 3rd time bought a $5 CD from Suzie and Skip gave me his DVD for free. (I gave it to a 7 year old. [His Birthday was the previous day.]) I got another Blair CD. (I'm keeping this one!) and walked or trotted home To the R5 station. I called my friends from my 'on the Go' Phone. I left a message for one friend named Adam and ran into another at the train station. They were the first men I told of the concert and met a few others for dinner in Wayne. I boasted to all of them about my favorite new singer and she is now on top of my list for 21st century new artists.

My Ashley Asics

I was a Journalism Major at a local college. I wrote about the women’s soccer team all because of one player. The name of my inspiration was Tess. This story is NOT about her. It is about one of her teammates. They may play the same position, but alas that is where the similarities end.
My inspiration was single and had brown hair. This story is about a player with red hair and she was in a committed relationship. It was Ashley’s senior year. She had been dating her boyfriend Dan since Freshman year. The pair of sneakers I where to this day nearly five year later were worn by Ashley often. I call them my Ashley Asics. I am on my third pair in five years. I was wearing my initail pair when I met Ashley’s father. When he met me on of the first things he noticed were the thus mentioned sneakers.
“I like your sneakers.” He said
“I call them my Ashley Asics.” He responded
“She does like them.”   I finished
It was then we discussed the thus mention duo from two points of view. His of course was that of a father to Ashley. To him Dan was his daughter college sweetheart. They dated the entire time they went to college together. (or at least most of it.)
I am sure he knew how much they loved each other. He would have to be blind and stupid not to. He also knew whom I was since I was the reporter of the team his daughter played on. When he first met me I talked about both Ashley and Dan. I spoke of both from more then a friend’s point of view rather then a reporter. My report’s aspect had a great influence of influence but I knew them better as friends of coarse. I told Ashley’s father.
“He treats her well.” You would be honored to have him as a son in law. The next time Dan saw he shook my hand and the couple is now married. I was not invited to their wedding. I did not expect to be either. date. I just expect to be remembered as a very important reason to why they are married. You never know they may name one of their kids after

Blair Bodine IV

Blair Bodine IV
 My Forth Concert Experience

The concert was free tonight and featured two wonderful artists. The first was Caitlin Canty She rocked the house with songs like Juicy Fruit and Two Hands. Her songs were unique and beautiful and she sung each one with gusto and she brought a spirit to the nearly full venue that was not there before.

She spoke of the rainy weather outside and her New York origins. She made jokes about her next concert appearance at The Naked Chocolate on October 23rd. I won’t be naked she quipped and made everybody laugh. She then performed a cover song and sung it as well as can be expected. She was awesome and brought a good feeling to the aforementioned rainy night outside.

Blair was next. She sung some songs from her self-entitled debut album and some new ones as well. Both old and new (songs) she was amazing and received applause with every song. Her parents were there and thanked me for coming out on such a miserable evening. I was glad to be there and receive such a warm welcome from all the Bodines present.

The concert ended and Blair introduced me to a few of her friends. Including her backup guitar performer who agreed to help her out on just two days notice. He was nice as was everybody there. It was a fun time in September and I enjoyed myself immensely.

Both artist pronounced their words clearly and sung slow enough for the audience to understand. It was a good night of entertainment and rhythm. I walked home to the train station and thought about the night’s experience all the way. It was a good time at the World CafĂ© Live and I enjoyed myself to the full.
